After the success of the first event we came to the realisation that we now had to come up with a name for these events. 90% of the people who attended demanded that networking was needed in London as a monthly event and we couldn’t continue with out a name.

So many sleepless nights later, traulling through lists of suggestions and referencing many words on online thesaurus’ we finally came to a name we were happy stood for what these specific events are about.

Urbanomix – Urban Economy Mixer

Urban
While we tried to conjure up a new word to define ‘Urban’ as we knew it, we continuously hit cement! ‘Urban’ is misleading and misrepresentative of what is essentially a cauldron of cultures including sport, music, arts, business, fashion and so much more. However, everyone in the ‘urban’ space in the UK can identify with it and it is used more generally in the US too so we decided to there was no getting away from it.

Economy
Simply because by strengthening the connections between individuals and hence companies within the urban space we will inevitably strengthen the urban Economy and that is the main aim of these networking events.

Mixer
Just another word for a Networking event.

What We Do

Urbanomix is a monthly mixer and networking event focused on the connection, advancement and sustainability of professionals in the urban music, culture and commerce space. The event promotes thought-leadership and best practices in the form of panels, keynotes and seminars.

This provides a much needed forum for established artists, tastemakers and influencers, from musicians, publishers, brand and IP owners, sponsors and Government Agencies. The aim is to promote the growth of the urban culture industry, by strengthening it’s core, and promoting inter-industry cooperation.
